New English School, Thane partners with BhashaLab for a year long English program.


Peoples' Education Society's New English School, Thane West has appointed BhashaLab as their English language partner for an ability enhancement program for students of Class 1 to Class 8 for the academic year 2024-25.


The school was founded in the year 1926.


Objectives of the Collaboration:

  1. Cultivate a 'Good Language' Culture: Foster an environment where proficient language use is encouraged and celebrated.

  2. Develop English Proficiency: Ensure students can read, comprehend, write, and speak English effectively.

Features of the Course:

  1. Interactive Pedagogy: Engaging teaching methods that actively involve students in the learning process.

  2. ASER Baseline Test: An initial assessment to gauge the current proficiency levels of students.

  3. Tailored Syllabi and Content: Customized curricula and materials designed to meet the specific needs of students.

  4. Progress Monitoring: BOY (Beginning of Year), MOY (Middle of Year), and EOY (End of Year) tests to track and assess student progress throughout the academic year.

  5. Anubandh Program: A culture-building initiative that incentivizes good language habits among students.

  6. School Blog Development: Encourage students to contribute to a school blog, enhancing their writing skills and engagement with English.

  7. English Competitions: Organize various competitions to stimulate interest and proficiency in English.

  8. Teacher Upskilling Program: A comprehensive English upskilling program for school teachers to ensure they are aligned with BhashaLab’s methodologies and initiatives. A 10-day onboarding program for school and BhashaLab teachers was completed from April 18 to April 29, 2024.

What do we aim to achieve at the end of the course?

  1. We aim to achieve an average improvement of 1.5 points on the ASER baseline assessment for our students.

  2. The objectives for students across different classes vary. However, our overarching aim is to empower each student with the skills and confidence to independently study and excel in English.
